micaiah says mama and daddy
… except that he only says ‘mama’ when he wants something done (e.g. when he wants us to open a bottle screwcap) and we never use ‘daddy’ in our household – so its a real mystery as to what Micaiah means …

Micaiah is 1 years old today!
Time goes fast – Micaiah is already 1 year old! I can still remember when we cradled upstairs him in our arms, and now he is propping himself up standing whenever and wherever he could =)
Grandpa and grandma has a big party planned today, so we are hoping Micaiah is up to seeing all these [...]
these legs are made for standing (Micaiah September)
Micaiah made the transition from crawling to assisted standing in no time at all! He can now prop himself up on anything at a suitable height, and use his arm strength to balance.
As the weather warmed up, he’s also had more outdoor time. Slightly scared of the grass though …

Micaiah perfected crawl in August
August was a really busy month for us, with 3 sermons and a host of other things. Our church houseparty was also held in August, in picturesque Lake Macquarie:
Micaiah was no slouch either – perfecting his crawl to textbook standards (hand-and-leg co-ordinating, not just a snake-like slithering) this month.
Micaiah independence starts in July
This is the month when Micaiah joined the horizontally mobile by practising his crawl and eating with his hand.

new found freedom
Micaiah is now crawling (forwards), sitting up from all fours, and trying to prop himself up into a standing position using his hands. All in the last 2 weeks! … and as I write this he just fell backwards and bumped his head …
